Today, we took a trip downtown with sandwiches, drinks, and treats to share with those in need. It was our small way of spreading hope and filling tummies. It’s amazing how a simple gesture can bring such big smiles.

This Fourth of July, we had the honor of recognizing a remarkable veteran, Ben, through our charity, The Forever Angels. Ben was recommended by my friend Brad, who has been a great advocate for veterans and a supporter of our cause. Brad’s advocacy helped us connect with Ben, allowing us to assist him in a meaningful way.
Brad’s Story:
Where did you serve? I served in Alaska with the 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment and in Iraq from 2006 to 2007.
What was your favorite thing about serving? The best part about serving was being around the high caliber of people. They became lifelong friends.
What was the hardest part about serving? The hardest part was seeing those friends get killed and wounded, and then seeing the ones who made it home having to deal with the mental issues.
Ben’s Story:
Where did you serve? I served in Afghanistan, Asia, and a few spots in the Middle East.
What was your favorite thing about serving? The best part of serving was working and fighting next to the bravest men I have ever known.
What was the hardest part about serving? The worst part of serving was leaving my family. I served to help ensure they had a more secure future, but it was painful to leave them each deployment.
At Forever Angels, we support various causes, including the Red Resilient Angel (Veterans’ Support), which provides mental health support, service dog training, art therapy programs, wardrobe updates, outdoor retreats, meal delivery, and transportation gift cards.
We thank Ben and Brad for their service and are grateful for the opportunity to honor them. Their stories and sacrifices remind us of the bravery and dedication of our veterans. This Fourth of July, let us remember and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy, thanks to the sacrifices of heroes like Ben and Brad.
Enjoy these pictures of Ben and Brad, two remarkable individuals who have served our country.🇺🇸💪🏽👊🏽❤️
